Brussels Privacy Hub Co-Directors Prof. Kuner and Prof. Malgieri were invited to speak at the 44th Global Privacy Assembly taking place in Istanbul from 25 to 28 October. The Assembly, bringing together data protection authorities from throughout the world was titled ‘A Matter of Balance: Privacy in The Era of Rapid Technological Advancement’
Prof. Kuner spoke on the topic of ‘Privacy Risks for Vulnerable Groups’ in a keynote presented by Francisco Javier Acuña Llamas, Commissioner at the Mexican INAI and in line with the joint research by Brussels Privacy Hub and Future of Privacy Forum in the International Observatory on Vulnerable People in Data Protection, Vulnera.
Prof. Malgieri moderated a panel on the topic of ‘Blockchain and Metaverse: Privacy and Data Protection’, hosting the following panellists:

Daniel Leufer (Senior Policy Analyst, Access Now);
