Giuseppe D’Acquisto, currently he is working as senior technology policy advisor for the Italian Data Protection Authority (the Garante). He is the national delegate for Italy within the Technology Expert Group of the European Data Protection Board and the International Working Group on Data Protection in Technologies, being rapporteur in several opinions and working documents (e.g. anonymization techniques, cloud computing, intelligent transport systems). He is professor in Artificial intelligence and in Laws and algorithms at the University LUISS in Rome. He holds a degree in electronic engineering (cum laude) and a PhD in computer science. He authored scientific articles and books on technical-regulatory topics (net and search neutrality, right to be forgotten, data protection by design, algorithmic decisions).
