Smriti Parsheera is a lawyer and public policy researcher based in India. She is a Research Ambassador with the Interledger Foundation and a Non-resident Fellow at the CyberBRICS Project, FGV Law School, Brazil. Smriti works on issues at the intersection of technology and society, including in the areas of digital inclusion, privacy, data governance, and digital public infrastructures. Her edited book, Private and Controversial: When Public Health and Privacy Meet in India, was published by HarperCollins in 2023.
Smriti studied law at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi’s School of Public Policy.
