What is RESOCIAL?

The RESOCIAL project investigates how social media—both in its traditional form and in the metaverse—affects users, particularly those in vulnerable situations. Our goal is to identify, measure, and mitigate these vulnerabilities, ultimately enhancing user resilience.

Why Does This Matter?

As social media continues to evolve, including through immersive metaverse experiences, users face legal, technological, and social challenges. Unfortunately, existing mitigation measures are often insufficient, leaving many individuals exposed to potential harm. RESOCIAL aims to tackle these pressing regulatory and socio-legal concerns to create a safer and more inclusive digital space.
