Biography

Liubomir Nikiforov is a researcher at the Brussels Privacy Hub, where he explores the intersection of data protection law, emerging technologies, and AI. Holding a Master’s in European Law and Economics, he brings a multidisciplinary lens to his work—examining how legal frameworks and economic principles converge in areas such as intellectual property, privacy and technology policy. His academic interests extend beyond the classroom, reflecting a broader focus on the socioeconomic, ethic reasons and political forces that shape digital innovation and governance. Outside academia, Liubomir has built a diverse professional portfolio in both governmental and private sectors, taking on administrative roles and providing legal consultancy. He is also an active voice in legal academia, having presented at prestigious conferences and published on the evolving challenges at the nexus of law, technology, ethics and economics.
