Liubomir Nikiforov, PhD, is a passionate legal researcher specializing in the intersection of Law and AI, with a particular focus on data protection, privacy, and AI governance. Currently he serves as a PhD Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and an Executive Team Member at the Brussels Privacy Hub. His professional experience spans both governmental settings and the private sector, where he has contributed to administrative roles and provided legal consultancy. 

Actively engaged in legal academia, Liubomir has presented at prestigious conferences and has publications on various legal and tech issues. He is committed to unraveling the complexities of digital rights and has delivered lectures on specialized topics such as Intellectual property, Digital Rights as well as Economic law.  

With memberships in organizations like ICANN and EURALO, Liubomir actively engages in public discourse and community initiatives aimed at improving internet governance and protecting digital rights. His research topic focuses on addressing the challenges of online behavioral advertising and data subjects’ rights.
