The Brussels Privacy Hub’s Managing Director, Barbara Lazarotto, contributed to the newly released Article-by-Article Commentary on the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), now available in digital and print formats.

The volume, edited by Laura Schertel, Elora Fernandes, and Isabela Maria Rosal, brings together leading scholars and practitioners to provide a comprehensive analysis of Brazil’s data protection framework, situating the LGPD within broader comparative and international perspectives.

Barbara’s contribution, which comments on Article 5, X of the LGPD — the definition of “tratamento”, reflects her ongoing engagement with data protection law and governance in both European and Latin American contexts.
